Metal Screen Walls in Evansville, IN
A screen wall is the screened panel that forms the side of a screen room, a screened porch or a patio enclosure. We build ours from aluminum extrusions in our own shop on Baumgart Road in Evansville, and we have been doing it since 1979. If you have searched for metal screen walls or aluminum screen walls and found parts catalogs and out-of-state kit sellers, this is the local version: measured at your house, cut to your opening, and installed by experienced local professionals.

What a Screen Wall Is
A screen wall is a framed aluminum panel with screen cloth stretched inside it. Several of them side by side become the wall of a screen room. They can be set between existing posts on a covered porch, built up off a brick or siding kneewall, or run full height from the slab to the header. Because every opening is a different size, the walls are fabricated to the measurements we take at your house rather than pulled off a shelf.
The Aluminum Framework
Our framework is built from two-by-two aluminum extrusions, U-channels and related sections. People like it because it does not wear the way wood does. It will not rot, warp or need repainting, and the aluminum structural frame carries our Limited Lifetime Warranty. The uprights are generally spaced no more than about five feet apart, which keeps the screen taut and the wall rigid without making the room feel closed in.
Four Screen Cloth Options
The frame is the same; the cloth inside it is the decision most people actually make.
Fiberglass cloth. What we generally use. It holds up very well and it is the right answer for most homes.
Sunshade cloth. A denser weave that cuts more sun and heat. Worth considering on a west or south exposure.
Pet screen. A tougher cloth for households with dogs or cats that lean on the screen.
Aluminum mesh. Available, but we will tell you the trade-off honestly. It is significantly harder to install, and once it is in it tends to hold its shape when somebody pushes against it or a dog runs into it. Most people do not like that, so most people do not choose it.
Screening In a Porch You Already Have
This is one of the most common jobs we do. If you already have a roof over the space, screen walls are usually all that is missing. We measure the existing posts, header and slab, then fabricate the walls to fit what is there instead of forcing a standard size into an opening that was never standard. Full project details are on our screen rooms page.
New Sashes and Rescreening
We also build new screen sashes and repair damaged ones. Customers bring sashes into the shop, one at a time or a whole house worth, and we rescreen or rebuild them. We handle large batches as well; an apartment complex brought in roughly two hundred. Because we fabricate our own extrusions we can often match an older aluminum frame, including rooms built by somebody else.
Frame Colors
Frame colors are white, clay, bronze, black and brown.
Screen Walls or a Full Screen Room
If you have a roof already, you need screen walls. If you do not, you need the roof as well, and that is a screen room or a patio cover with walls added. We build both, and the measurement visit will tell you which one your space actually calls for. You can see finished work on our work page.
Warranty
The aluminum structural frame is covered for life, the finish for ten years against peeling and adhesion defects, and the screen material for five years against UV fading. The full terms, including what is excluded and the annual maintenance the warranty asks for, are on our Limited Lifetime Warranty page.
