Three Season Sunrooms in Henderson, KY

What a Three Season Room Actually Is

It is a glass enclosure, not a heated addition. We say that plainly because it is the one thing people get wrong. The room is not tied into your furnace and is not insulated to the standard of conditioned living space. What it does is capture solar gain and block wind, which extends your usable season by months at both ends. On a clear cold day a glass room can sit far warmer inside than the air outside with no heat running. That is physics, not a guarantee, and a grey February afternoon will not do the same thing.

Cranbrook Enclosures

The Cranbrook line is what we build most, including Deluxe configurations. Sliding glass panels with screen behind them so the room opens up in May, an aluminum or brick kneewall matched to the house, and an insulated roof deck overhead. Frame colors are white, clay, bronze, black and brown. Where the existing roofline is low, as in the photograph above, the enclosure is built in under it rather than fighting it.
