Three Season Sunrooms in Owensboro, KY

What a Three Season Room Actually Is

It is a glass enclosure, not a heated addition, and we would rather say that plainly than have you find out in January. The room is not tied into your furnace and is not insulated to the standard of conditioned living space. What it does is capture solar gain and block wind, which pushes your usable season out by months at both ends. On a clear cold day a glass room can sit far warmer than the air outside with no heat running at all. That is physics, not a guarantee, and a grey February afternoon will not do the same thing.

Cranbrook Enclosures

The Cranbrook line is what we build most, including Deluxe configurations. Sliding glass panels with screen behind them so the room opens up in May, an aluminum or brick kneewall matched to the house, and an insulated roof deck overhead. Frame colors are white, clay, bronze, black and brown. A clerestory or gable roof can be worked in where the existing roofline is tight, as in the photograph above.

Screen Room, Sunroom or Patio Cover

The honest answer depends on when you want to sit out there:

A patio cover gives shade and rain protection. Open air.
A screen room adds screen from the deck up. Bug free, roughly April through October.
A three season room adds glass. Shoulder seasons included, and it reads as a finished room from the yard.
